DESCRIPTION:To register for this event\, click here. \n2023 brought a number of legislative changes regarding MnOSHA.  Join ABC and construction attorney\, Aaron Dean\, to discuss these legislative changes\, how the legislative changes impact contractors\, learn about MnOSHA fines increased by more than 200%\, and learn how contractors can mitigate the negative impacts brought by these changes by increasing safety training\, surprise inspections and safety audits of projects.  Seminar topics include: \n  \n\nMnOSHA fines are more than doubling\, tracking with Federal OSHA’s fine schedule.\nMnOSHA now has the right to interview employees without an employer’s representative present\, potentially increasing employer liability.\nGuilty until proven innocent: MnOSHA Citations will now become public information 20 days after the employer receives the citation\, even if the employer contests the Citation.\nThe National Emphasis Program (NEP) based around heat hazards establishes “heat priority days” where an employer has an increased responsibility to protect workers from heat hazards.\nThe proposed Federal OSHA rule to allow union representatives or grassroots organizers to accompany government inspectors on walk around inspections of job sites.\nMnOSHA has several provisions which go above and beyond Federal OSHA’s requirements.\nAnonymous complaints:  There continue to be reports of anonymous complaints seeming to target merit shop contractors.\n\n  \nLunch will be provided at this event.  Please indicate if you have any dietary restrictions during registration. \nPresenter: Aaron Dean\, Moss & Barnett\, P.A. \nAaron Dean of Moss & Barnett has handled more than 450 OSHA cases in 27 States\, including more than 35 fatality cases.  Aaron A.
