SUMMARY:TRANSITIONING FROM “BUDDY TO BOSS"
DESCRIPTION:This leadership training will focus on the challenges supervisors face in construction related industries\, and is designed to help you become a more effective leader. Regardless if you are new to the supervisor position\, have overseen employees for decades\, manage one employee or many dozens; participants will gain valuable knowledge and takeaway key action items surrounding the following topics. Thanks to the new one-day format\, there are two options to send your key leaders to this impactful training.   \nWe are excited to partner with Tom Esch from Esch Consulting (eschconsulting.com). Tom has successfully trained thousands of construction workers about the art of effective communication and leadership skills leading to greatly improved overall company culture. Tom’s presentations are as entertaining as they are informative thanks to his exceptional experience\, knowledge and expertise on the subject matter at hand.\n1. Being accountable\, holding others accountable\n2. The “reptilian brain” and how it affects safety and judgment\n3. The benefits of the three-way communication process\n4. Uncomfortable conversation training: accountability requires it\n5. Rank\, power\, and safety\n6. Situational & relational intelligence for people who don’t say much about feelings\n7. Mental health in the workplace  \nThis one-day course is from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the TBG Office\, 2919 Eagandale Blvd\, Eagan\, Minn. 55121. Lunch will be provided. \nTo register\, please sign-up through the ticket process below. TBG Members receive one free seat a year. Any additional attendees will pay a $50 fee.
