DESCRIPTION:Be prepared and in compliance with this training. Learn the skills to maintain the life of a victim until emergency medical personnel arrive. \nRachel Graf of rachelKcpr will provide up-to-date training in Basic First Aid\, including blood-borne pathogens and injury care techniques. \nThe First Aid training will cover the basics: emergency scene assessment\, breathing emergencies\, sudden illness and injury\, bleeding and preventing disease transmission. The CPR training will cover basic life support\, emergency scene assessment\, CPR and rescue breathing and choking. The AED training will cover operating characteristics of AEDs\, shows proper precautions\, maintenance techniques and use during a cardiac arrest. \nThis course meets and exceeds 2020 AHA guidelines and OSHA training requirements. Topics to include Fall Protection\, Electrical Safety\, Excavation Safety\, Hand/Power Tools & several more topics necessary to complete the course objectives. \nWhen:\nTuesday\, Jan. 30\, 2024 7 AM to 3:30 PM with lunch provided\nWednesday\, Jan. 31\, 2024 7 to 11 AM\n*Please note that registration is only required for Day One.*\n**Attendance is required for Day One & Two to complete the 10 hour requirement.** \nCost for the following type of participants:\n~$125 per person for TBG Members\n~$150 per Association member (ABC\, MSA)\n~$275 per non-member of TBG \n~ FREE – Starting in 2022 as a benefit of the TBG Safety Service Association all members will have two FREE OSHA 10 registrations per year. Once those two FREE registrations are used\, the cost to participate will then be $125 per member.  \nRegistration open Tuesday\, Dec. 5 and closes Tuesday\, Jan. 23\, 2024. In addition he is boarded in family medicine and a fellow in both the American College of Occupational & Environmental Medicine (ACOEM) and the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP). \nThis program complies with Federal DOT standards and Minnesota State Statutes and is designed to provide supervisors with the knowledge and skills they need to\nlegally intervene and appropriately respond to a drug or alcohol reasonable suspicion occurrence in the workplace.
