DESCRIPTION:To register for this event\, click here. \n2023 brought a number of legislative changes regarding MnOSHA.  Join ABC and construction attorney\, Aaron Dean\, to discuss these legislative changes\, how the legislative changes impact contractors\, learn about MnOSHA fines increased by more than 200%\, and learn how contractors can mitigate the negative impacts brought by these changes by increasing safety training\, surprise inspections and safety audits of projects.  Seminar topics include: \n  \n\nMnOSHA fines are more than doubling\, tracking with Federal OSHA’s fine schedule.\nMnOSHA now has the right to interview employees without an employer’s representative present\, potentially increasing employer liability.\nGuilty until proven innocent: MnOSHA Citations will now become public information 20 days after the employer receives the citation\, even if the employer contests the Citation.\nThe National Emphasis Program (NEP) based around heat hazards establishes “heat priority days” where an employer has an increased responsibility to protect workers from heat hazards.\nThe proposed Federal OSHA rule to allow union representatives or grassroots organizers to accompany government inspectors on walk around inspections of job sites.\nMnOSHA has several provisions which go above and beyond Federal OSHA’s requirements.\nAnonymous complaints:  There continue to be reports of anonymous complaints seeming to target merit shop contractors.\n\n  \nLunch will be provided at this event.  Please indicate if you have any dietary restrictions during registration. \nPresenter: Aaron Dean\, Moss & Barnett\, P.A. \nAaron Dean of Moss & Barnett has handled more than 450 OSHA cases in 27 States\, including more than 35 fatality cases.  Aaron A. DESCRIPTION:This class will provide an in depth look at compliance and safety issues related to the OSHA training curriculum set forth for the OSHA 10 Hour Construction Safety class. Topics to include Fall Protection\, Electrical Safety\, Excavation Safety\, Hand/Power Tools & several more topics necessary to complete the course objectives. \nWhen:\nWednesday\, June 15\, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with lunch provided\nThursday\, June 16\, 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM\n*Please note that registration is only required for Day One.*\n**Attendance is required for Day One & Two to complete the 10 hour requirement.** \nCost for the following type of participants:\n~$100 per person for TBG Members\n~$120 per Association member (ABC\, MSA)\n~$275 per non-member of TBG \n~ FREE – Starting in 2022 as a benefit of the TBG Safety Service Association all members will have two FREE OSHA 10 registrations per year. Once those two FREE registrations are used\, the cost to participate will then be $100 per member.  \nRegistration closes June 13th\, 2022. If after June 13th\, contact Priscilla at pconway@tbg.jcwcreative.com to check for availability.
