NATIONAL SAFETY STAND-DOWN TO
PREVENT FALLS IN CONSTRUCTION
May 1 – 5, 2023

TBG encourages our members to participate in a National Safety Stand-Down from May 1st – 5th to raise awareness about fall prevention in construction. Companies can participate by taking a break in the workday to discuss fall prevention and related items such as ladders, scaffolding, and roofing safety.

It’s a great opportunity for employers to talk with employees about fall hazards, protective methods, and company safety policies.

Stand-Down Tips

Plan a fall protection toolbox talk.
Provide fall protection training.
Conduct inspections on fall protection equipment.
Discuss job-specific fall hazards and controls.
