TEMPORARY HEATING CONSIDERATIONS FOR CONSTRUCTION JOB SITES

For many trades, working during colder months of the year is necessary. Some trades use temporary heat, or temp heat, to make this happen.

What are the hazards of using temporary heat?

How do we protect our people?

Please reach out to your dedicated TBG Safety Services professional to get more information on best practices for temporary heating systems.

Have you taken an unsafe item out of service and planned on throwing it away? Can TBG Member trainees learn from it? Contact John Grayson at jgrayson@tbgmn.com with a story and a picture. Maybe someone else can learn from your situation. Your confidentiality is guaranteed.

Be on the lookout for a new TBG training opportunity. Our members are either in construction or construction-related industries. But, most of our members have non-construction exposures.

  • Do you have a shop?
  • Do you have mechanics?
  • Do you fabricate?
  • Are you a manufacturer?
  • Do you warehouse?

These are just some examples of workplaces where OSHA’s construction standards do not apply. Do you want to learn more about non-construction regulations and hazards?

Coming Soon: TBG OSHA 10-Hour Outreach Training for General Industry. Separate from our Construction outreach training, this will help you gain knowledge for non-construction operations.
