Letter From Stu
As another year comes to a close, I find myself reflecting on just how far The Builders Group has come and how the foundation we’ve built together continues to strengthen Minnesota’s construction industry.
When I joined TBG in 2002, we were a team of four with a shared vision and a lot of grit. Over two decades later, that vision has grown into something far greater than I could have imagined: a Member-owned organization built on trust, stability, and commitment to the people who build our state.
This year, we’ve continued to do what TBG does best: deliver value and stability to our Members while finding new ways to support our communities and the construction industry. Our commitment to workforce development through the TBG Education Foundation remains strong, with scholarships and “Tools for Schools” continuing to open doors for the next generation of tradespeople. We’ve also strengthened our partnerships with industry associations, helping ensure Minnesota’s construction community remains strong, skilled, and safe for decades to come.
The Builders Group has weathered challenges, adapted to change, and grown through innovation, always with one goal in mind: serving our Members. Together, we’ve built the most stable and trusted workers’ compensation fund in Minnesota’s construction industry. And while I’m proud of how far we’ve come, I’m even more excited about where we’re headed.
Thank you to our Members, Agents, and Partners for your continued trust and collaboration. Here’s to another year of building stability, safety, and success — together.

Letter From Jon
As we wrap up 2025, I want to take a moment to celebrate what we’ve accomplished together and to thank every Member, Agent, Partner, and team member who makes TBG what it is today.
This year, we continued to grow in ways that make a lasting impact. We completed the remodel and expansion of our Eagan headquarters, creating more space for Member events, Agent meetings, and safety training that now reaches nearly 150 people at a time. Our Safety Services team kept momentum strong, training thousands of workers and taking safety on the road with our new mobile training van.
Our growth was also evident online with the launch of TBG’s new website, designed to make it easier than ever for Members, Agents, and Partners to access information, connect with our team, and take advantage of the resources that support safer, stronger businesses.
We also continued to build long-term stability for our Members. With another successful Loss Portfolio Transfer, liabilities for the 2000–2022 fund years remain capped, providing even greater protection against assessments. And once again, our Board declared a dividend, marking the ninth consecutive year we’ve returned value directly to our Members.
Through every change, one thing remains constant: our commitment to serving the people who build Minnesota. As we look ahead to 2026, we’ll keep focusing on what matters most: delivering dependable coverage, practical safety support, and a partnership our Members can count on.
Thank you for your trust, loyalty, and shared belief in TBG’s mission. Together, we’re not just covering the industry, we’re strengthening it.
