The Builders Group (TBG) has created a state-of-the-art classroom and hands-on demonstration training center at our Eagan, Minnesota headquarters. Here, our members can conduct customized safety training and education programs designed to help increase employee safety awareness and hazard recognition.
TBG Safety Service Association will help you tailor these training sessions to add to the effectiveness of your existing training by focusing on your company’s specific operational and company needs. We focus on practical and hands-on training, and our training center enables us to take our sessions from the classroom setting to a field simulation in a moment’s time. We also have a large selection of safety equipment and products available for trainees to view and evaluate for practicality.
Some of our training sessions are offered exclusively at the TBG classroom, but many can also be on-site at your office, shop, job site, or other specialized location. Please view our calendar of upcoming safety seminars.

Boom and Scissor Lift Train the Trainer Course – April 8

$200.00In light of COVID-19 and its continually evolving effect on our day-to-day lives, TBG is taking the necessary care and precautions to do our part in keeping our members, employees and community safe.
TBG is pleased to announce we have partnered with Genie/Terex to provide a Train-the-Trainer course to address the changes effective March 1, 2020 to the A92 ANSI standard addressing boom lifts and scissor lifts as well as other mobile elevated work platforms (MEWPs). This standard change can eventually become enforceable by OSHA and if incorporated would directly affect training requirements for operators. TBG will be hosting a Genie corporate trainer for three separate, day long classes that will qualify attendees in the new standard.
Who: TBG members looking to qualify in-house operator trainers in scissor lifts and boom lifts

Genie Lift Pro MEWP Train-the-Trainer Courses are designed to help prepare participants to confidently and effectively train others in the safe and proper use of mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs). Participants will receive the latest training curriculum required for operator qualification and training. Participants who successfully complete the program will receive a certificate of completion, Trainer/Operator card and Genie Lift Pro Operator Training Kit which includes all materials necessary to teach an unlimited number of students. Genie Lift Pro courses meet all applicable ANSI, OSHA and CSA requirements for operator training.

• Overview of ANSI A92/CSA B354 standards and how OSHA/OHS enforces those standards

• Overview of the responsibilities of all parties associated with the operation of aerial work platforms as outlined by ANSI (manufacturer, dealer, user, owner and operator)

Genie Lift Pro courses are not Genie-specific. They are general in nature so they cover most makes and models of aerial work platforms and telehandlers.
