When temperatures rise, staying hydrated is one of the simplest ways to protect your health and safety. Proper hydration helps regulate body temperature, maintain focus, support muscle function, and improve reaction time, all of which are critical on a construction site.
Waiting until you’re thirsty can be a sign you’re already behind, so make it a habit for you and your crew to drink water consistently throughout the day, especially when working in direct sunlight or wearing heavy PPE. Just like hard hats, safety glasses, and fall protection, hydration is an important part of keeping yourself and your crew safe on the job.
